The Glungezer is particularly close by. Ski tourers will find several ascent options here, along with beautiful routes offering impressive views across the Inn Valley. One popular route leads from the Tulfein mountain station via the Schartenkogel to the Glungezer, at an altitude of 2,677 metres. For beginners, the piste tour to the Schartenkogel offers a relatively easy way to gain their first experience in ski touring.

The Hall-Wattens and Innsbruck region offers numerous snowshoe hikes of varying difficulty levels.
The trails around Rinn, Tulfes, and the Glungezer are particularly beautiful. From leisurely routes through snow-covered winter forests to more challenging hikes at higher elevations, there’s something for every level of ability. One special highlight is the snowshoe hike from the Tulfeinalm to the Glungezer Hut, which takes you through the impressive winter landscape up to over 2,600 meters.
There are also numerous marked snowshoe trails around the Patscherkofel and throughout the Innsbruck region. From Camping Judenstein, you can continually discover new trails and enjoy the winter mountain scenery in complete tranquility.

Winter hiking trails around Campingplatz Judenstein
Winter hiking is the perfect way to enjoy the snowy Tyrolean mountains at a relaxed pace. Around Camping Judenstein, you’ll find numerous cleared winter hiking trails leading through snow-covered forests, across sunny paths and offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
Particularly convenient: several winter hiking trails pass directly by the campsite. These include the Sonnenplateau-Runde Tulfes, the Tulfer Lavieren Winter Hiking Trail, the Speckbacherweg and the Teufelsmühle trail. You can also hike to the Rinner Alm. This means you can set off on your winter hike directly from the campsite and explore the beautiful landscape around Rinn and Tulfes.
If you would like to head a little higher, you can easily reach the Glungezerbahn by bus. Two particularly beautiful winter hiking routes start at the Halsmarter middle station: the Glungezer Winterwald route leads through the snow-covered forest along a mostly level path, while the Halsmarter Panoramarunde offers beautiful views across the Volder Valley.
There are also several options for winter hiking and snowshoeing at Patscherkofel. Thanks to the convenient public transport connections, this winter hiking area can also be reached easily from the campsite.
